The research group led by Prof. Dr. Sven Lahme was awarded the best surgical video at the American Urology Congress 2018 in San Francisco.

The film, created in collaboration with Associate Professor Dr. G. Hatzichristodoulou (Department of Urology, University of Regensburg) with the support of Ms. S. Fiechtner (doctoral student), demonstrates a surgical technique developed by Prof. Lahme for patients with acquired penile curvature due to Peyronie's disease, in which straightening of the penis shaft can be achieved through elongation. The advantage of this surgical method lies in avoiding unnecessary additional shortening of the penis. Prof. Lahme has been performing this surgical technique for more than 20 years, and it has since been adopted by many other urological centers worldwide. The Goldstadt Privatklinik offers a specialized outpatient clinic for affected patients.
