Testicular fixation for testicular torsion

In children and adolescents in particular, and sometimes in adult men, testicular torsion may cause sudden onset of severe testicular pain. Testicular torsion is an emergency that requires immediate urological treatment and surgery. The testicle is turned back to its normal position through a small incision and fixed in place with sutures.
